Mario Kart Cake

Brady requested a Mario Kart cake for his birthday. I had no idea how I was going to pull this one off, but I am so excited about the end result.

Brady's birthday

Brady pretty much had an entire week to celebrate his birthday. He milked it for all it was worth! Here are a few picks from his party. This kid cracks Josh and I up.

Brady's birthday week Cont...

I took the boys to... Chuck e Cheese on Friday for Brady's birthday. We met Jake, Sophia, Beth, Adrienne and Brecken there. I came prepared with hand sanitizer, wipes and anything else that might help disinfect the place, but it really wasn't that bad. We all had a blast and were entertained for hours. Great idea Beth!

He strikes again...

Yesterday, Avery left his mark on every door in my house, as well as the fridge, the dining room light, my desk organizer and the dresser... with permanent marker. When asked why is response was... I want to be like DW. I am considering banning Arthur books from our house.

Then he left a trail of raisins for Brady to follow up the stairs. That way he could find him and fill his tummy up all at the same time.

Toddler Group

Brady had the best day at toddler group. The kids brought in big boxes, decorated them and turned them into a train. Brady thought it was so cool to eat snack on the train track, in his coach.

And if the train wasn't enough, he got to celebrate his birthday with teacher Tina... his favorite person on earth. He was in heaven !
(excuse the crummy iphone pic, yet again I forgot my camera.)

Reptile Zoo

Avery's preschool class went to see the Reptile Man on Friday for a field trip. I was really not looking forward to all the snakes, and icky other reptiles that we would encounter. I was shocked by all the creatures that this side of the road zoo had. The boys were in heaven and it was so worth going. Brady was mesmerized by all the snakes, lizards, turtles, and bugs. It was very entertaining to watch Avery interacting with his friends... let's just say he is the mayor at school too.

Really??

My short conversation with Avery last night...

Me: Avery, we are not playing leapster right now.

Avery: But mom, I need to check my apps.

Me: Well, your apps will be there tomorrow, and you can check them then.

Avery: I am so frustrated with you. (followed by some storming off and tossing leapster on the couch... which then lead to a little visit to the stairs.)

So, he is techy, thinks his leapster is an Iphone and can communicate his feelings???

They are officially roomates

Josh and I spent Sunday getting everything ready for the boys to become offical roomates. It took me forever to organize and sort through the massive amounts of toys these two boys own. But, they are moved in together, all the toys, clothes, and drama! Their first night was a success and they both LOVE sharing a room.
