Brady's bday present
So, Brady's birthday lasted days... as you can tell. Josh made Brady a deal months ago, (this might be TMI, but you were warned) If he could poop on the potty with no accidents, he could have this very large, expensive lego set for his birthday. Of course, Brady took this as a challenge and rocked it... so he was in heaven when he opened his present from mom and dad.

Happy 4th Birthday Brady O

I have no idea where the last 4 years have gone. You have become such an amazing boy. You are hilarious these days. I love your expression, one liners and of course your Jersey accent. You care so much about others and worry if someone is sad or upset. You are an amazing big brother and so loving with your sister Ellie. You are the perfect "side kick" and make the best Robin. Avery is so lucky you are his younger brother. You are into Dinosaurs and Star Wars. Everything you play with becomes some sort of weapon. You have an imaginary friend named Frankie, who's hair changes color and is your alter ego. You love Yo-Yo, your blanket (thank god we have two and can alternate with one in the wash.) You would take Yo-Y0 with you everywhere and anywhere, as long as he was on your head. You suck you pointer finger and are going to need some hard core braces as a result. Currently, when you grow up, you want to be a Cougar football player, who drives home on weekends because you will be old enough to drive a car. (direct quote) I love the way your brain works these days. You are full of random facts, a talent you have inherited from your Auntie Allie... and just like her you could sit in front of a tv for hours watching shows. Your current favorite it Bubble Guppies. You are an observer and even when we think you are not paying attention, you are taking it all in. Your daddy and I love you and cannot wait to see who you become.

My new "hobby"
So, Josh always jokes that I need to find a hobby... Mainly because I have the attention of a 5 year old and think that his job is to entertain me. I think this is one of the main reasons I am successful as a kindergarten teacher. My attention span is about the same as my students. Anyway, my new goal lately is to try be a little more savvy at the grocery store and when shopping in general. Dorky, I know! I have to say, my best savings was the 10 boxes of cereal (honey nut Cheerios and lucky charms) that I bought for under $5.
So, I thought I would share some of my favorite sites....
Thrifty NorthWest Mom: money saving tips, good deals, etc.
Totally Target
Queen Bee Coupons and Savings
The Coupon Project
Coupon Connections
Frugal Living NW
Mini Social: great savings on kids clothes, items, toys
And of course Amazon Mom. I have been getting my diapers/pull ups here for nothing! I use the 15% off and free shipping that you get from being a member of amazon mom (free membership). Then I do the subscribe and save, which is another 15%. (I usually cancel the subscribe and save after the order has been placed.... you can subscribe and save over and over.) Then, I use the 20% off or $10 off amazon diapers coupon found in the magazine American Baby (subscription is free) or Parents magazine. In addition to this, I use the amazon money I earn from Swagbucks... which makes my orders next to nothing. I recently paid $6 for a box of 80 pull ups.
