Bat Buddies

Avery and the fam got invited to Braden's house for a Halloween party. Avery was sooo excited. Of course, he and Braden were both bats (unplanned), which put him over the edge. We had such a great time playing and carving pumpkins.
The Bat twins

Brady tried to carry/steal every pumpkin he found.... and there were a lot.

Carving the ghost pumpkin that Ami's
grew.

Here is the pumpkin cake I made for the party. I think it turned out super cute.

Like Father, Like Son

I found Brady loungin on the couch, with a pumpkin bucket of fishies, watching who knows what on tv... just like his daddy does. They are so alike!

No more shaggy dogs

Finally, we got their shaggy, shaggy hair cut. These pics aren't the best, but the boys look so handsome and OLD with their new hair!

Picnic Party

Avery informed me he was having a picnic this afternoon. He got all the blankets ready, told me the menu and invited Brady to join him. Brady was pleased to attend until he was out of food and Avery refused to share with him. Avery was then furious that Brady left, so I told him to get some of his stuffed animals and they could join his picnic. He looked at me like I was the biggest idiot in the world. He then proceeded to tell me that stuffed animals are not real and do not eat snack....
Of course not....

(I have no idea what happened to his pants.)

Moves

...and yes, he eats the entire apple... core and all. He is a tank.

Book Worm

The other night I walked around the corner to find Brady surrounded by books, which he had unloaded from the book basket. I wouldn't have been so shocked if it was Avery, the book-o-holic, but Brady is the polar opposite. He will usually sit for one or two pages of a book and then he is off to bigger and better things, so this made me smile.

It's all fun and games...

until someone gets hurt. I remeber hearing that many times as a child and well, it just happens to be true. The boys were having so much fun playing in the "tunnel" we made yesterday.

Then Beth and her 4th grade son Jeff came over to pick up Jakie. Jeff joined in the fun and as Beth and I are chatting we heard this ear piercing howl. There is Avery covering his eye. He ran smack dab into the corner of the coffee table. He now has an amazing shiner to prove it. The pictures don't do it justice.

Girls Night

On Saturday, Molly, Heather, Marta and baby Lila came over for a girls night. It is always such a great time and we need to do it more often! Here are some pics of the little lady.

Triplet Trouble

On Thursday's, Avery has preschool in the morning and I watch Tyler and Jake during the day. The three boys (Tyler, Jake and Brady) are all born within 3 months of each other and are so funny together.... throw Avery in the mix and it is a full house!

Dressing up

The boys and I pulled out our Halloween decorations and found the tub of old costumes. I thought they would have fun dressing up.... Avery loved it... Brady hated it!
