Last night the boys decided to play barber shop. No clue where this came from, but Josh and I were dying. The boys were hilarious.

Pumpkin Carving at Avery School

On Monday, we went to Avery school for pumpkin carving night. Avery was so excited to show Josh around the school and introduce him to his friends. Too cute!

Big Boy Potty

I wish he was as excited about his new potty as I am about not having diapers in our house. He is NOT, but it is worth a try. Avery seems to love the new addition to the big boy potty, so at least something good came from our target purchase. Now all we need is to get Brady on board and not just because their are M&M's involved.

Striking a Pose

Avery is all about wardrobe changes and posing. Who knows with him! And of course Brady has to join in on the mix because anything big brother does, he has to do. The Spiderman snow boots really make the outfit... and no, I did not buy them for him.

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Monday was Avery and Brady's field trip to The Farm. It just so happened that both their schools were going to the same farm, on the same day, at the same time. I really love The Farm in Snohomish and thought it was perfect for a field trip. The boys had a blast and we got great pumpkins that were still on the VINE! Of course, in true Gretch fashion, I forgot my camera... so only a few iphone pics that actually turned out. Better than nothing.

Beach Party

This is the third day of the "Beach Party". Each morning, Avery wakes up and makes this with all the pillows from the couch. The boys have played and played in it and it has made for more entertainment than I thought possible.

I promised myself the same thing... I would not be a yeller, but I am worried it might be happening. Yikes! It is so hard not to totally lose it when things like this happen:


Avery decides it would be a fun game for he and Tyler to completely destroy this tub: and spread the contents all over the upstairs... (the pile of the aftermath)stayed calm, asked him to help clean it up. Avery refused because he got distracted by the chocolate milk someone thought was okay to bring up stairs. Threw himself on the floor in a fit of rage. Ended up in his room. Me: Trying to stay calm... not going well because I can hear him doing this to his room:




because he was mad that I thought throwing himself on the floor in a fit of rage was not an appropriate response. Avery calmed down, so did I, we cleaned up the mess together.

We met Ammie at the farm on Friday for our weekly veggie pick. Jubilee was decorate for their pumpkin season. I just loved it and wish I had brought my camera... Not a terrible iphone pic.
